At T.W. Hicks, Inc., we provide our clients with three unique hangar floor systems:

HP-Hangar System 25G/S

First up is our HP floor system, which is a three coat system that is applied at a total of approximately 25 mils.  The system is made up of a 100% solids penetrating epoxy primer applied at 7 mils, a build coat of 100% solids epoxy applied at 15 mils,  and a finish coat of high solids, high performance, chemical resistant urethane applied at 3 mils.  The finish can be gloss or satin.  The gloss finish utilizes poly glass beads for anti-skid characteristics.  The satin finish utilizes crushed, clear aluminum oxide for anti-skid characteristics.  Both finishes are easy to clean and maintain manually or with mechanical cleaning equipment.

MVR-Hangar System 30G/S

The MVR floor system is made up of a four coat system that is applied at a total of approximately 30 mils.  The system is made up of a moisture vapor reducing primer applied at 7 mils, a tie coat of 100% solids epoxy applied at 5 mils, a build coat of 100% solids epoxy applied at 15 mils, and a finish coat of high solids, high performance, chemical resistant urethane applied at 3 mils.  You also have the option of choosing between a gloss or satin finish with this incredible floor system.

HD-Hangar System 200G/S

This top-of-the-line floor system is a based upon a five coat system that is applied at a total of approximately 200 mils.  The system is made up of a 100% solids penetrating epoxy primer applied at 7 mils, a troweled mortar system applied at 180 mils, a grout coat of epoxy applied at 5 mils, a build coat of epoxy applied at 10 mils, and a finish coat of high solids, high performance, chemical resistant urethane applied at 3 mils.   A gloss or satin finish is also available for this unique and highly durable floor system.

Sand and Recoats

If you have an existing hangar floor system and want to restore it back to its original finish, we offer a sand and recoat option which is a two coat system that is applied at approximately 10 mils.  The system is made up of a 100% solids epoxy tie coat applied at 7 mils, and a finish coat of high solids, high performance, chemical resistant urethane applied at 3 mils.
